BioMonsters International Competition 2025

Competition Invitation

BioMonsters invites middle and high school students from around the world to take part in the 2025 BioMonsters International Competition, a unique opportunity to explore biology, art, and bioengineering through the creation of original, imaginative creatures known as BioMonsters. This global competition welcomes students from all educational backgrounds, including public, private, and homeschool environments.

2025 Prompt: Eat the Problem

Design a BioMonster that literally consumes something harmful in the environment. This could be pollution, waste, toxins, invasive species, or anything else causing ecological damage. Your BioMonster should creatively demonstrate:

• What it eats

• How it eats it (biological process, specialized adaptations, etc.)

• Why that helps the environment

Think of it as nature’s vacuum, filter, or stomach — but weird, wild, and bioengineered.

Submission Deadline

The submission period opens Monday, April 28, 2025 and closes at 11:59 PM GMT on Friday, June 6, 2025.
